The staff, especially the kindness and attentiveness by Jitu, Manager of Silver Oaks Inn. The room is clean and beds comfortable. Breakfast is delicious with a good spread of breads, omelette, cereals & yogurt complete with chai tea! Location is excellent. Near to lake and shopping strip. Good restaurants nearby. "11/10 to Jitu Gurung, Manager of Silver Oaks Inn, Pokhara for his exceptional service and kindness extended to my son and me during our recent stay at Silver Oaks Inn in Pokhara! The garden in Silver Oaks is very charming. A lovely place to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee. Added to the charm in Silver Oaks Inns is a lovely dog! The rooms are comfortable. And the good spread of breakfast with omelette, breads and chai tea makes a great start to the day in Pokhara. Jitu proposed and planned an itinerary to trek Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) to suit our needs. He even lend me his own pair of gloves because he knows it will be cold in the challenging trekking condition to ABC, an act of kindness that speaks volumes about Jitu's character and commitment to guest's well-being. Thank You Jitu! When our flights out of Pokhara and onwards back to Singapore encountered several disruptions, Jitu stayed up till late in the night to try help resolve our flight issues. And early next morning, he was already at the hotel desk to ensure we depart on time. He even packed breakfast for our long journey! My son and I are very grateful for Jitu's acts of hospitality, kindness and assitance. Thank you Jitu. It is 11/10!!"

Lovely room and balcony facing probably one of the hotel’s best outlooks. On a clear day, ‘Fishtail Mountain in the Annupurna Range can be seen, even when lying in bed! A/C, and great Wi-fi in the room, spacious modern bathroom with really hot water 24 hours per day (a rare luxury in Asia.) Comfortable bed and everything extremely clean. Safety deposit box near reception area. All staff were exceptional, always friendly and helpful, and being there 20 days we got to know Kriti, Dilu and the breakfast staff well. We are not really dog lovers but no one fails to love Pookoo, he is beautiful and so tolerant. Breakfasts were brilliant lots of choice, toast, and eggs cooked to order usually. Lovely sitting areas in the garden at the front of the hotel where you could eat breakfast if you wish. We didn’t use his services this time but Dilu the manager can arrange all types of trekking trips, excursions, vehicle hire etc from within the hotel. Being 74 we chose Pokhara as a beautiful place to relax, enjoy fabulous scenery and the famous Nepalese hospitality. Pokhara has dozens of bars and restaurants all around and miles of level rural walking areas for people like us, even though there are so many young trekkers here enjoying the night life and respite after or before some serious Himalayan hiking/climbing/rafting/paragliding etc.

I would call this hotel an excellent 3 star. My overall impression was a comforting and cool ambiance. The design of the hotel is around a large central staircase with wood balustrades. The hotel has a lot of wood fixtures and potted plants which I found comforting and inviting. The front yard is a beautiful jungle like garden which was a cool respite from the nearby streets. The garden has comfy chairs where you can hang out and read or meet up with fellow guests. The rooms are quiet, pleasant and have all the essentials like plenty of hot water and comfy beds. Breakfast was good. They offer a couple of hot dishes like roast potatoes and pancakes, as well as cereals, fruit and toast and they also offer a couple of eggs prepared the way you like them. Plus, you can pay a little extra for expresso machine made coffee. The location was good. About a five-minute walk to the main drag and another five minutes to the lake. They will look after your luggage if you go trekking, they will organize transfers to the airport, they will do laundry for a fee, and best of all they have a beautiful golden retriever who hangs out in reception.

This fabulous hotel has become a new favorite in Nepal and possibly anywhere! We were greeted by a wonderfully friendly staff, and Puku the Hotel Dog and his pup Rocky were an extra-special bonus for this dog-loving traveler who is missing her dog back home. The rooms are spacious with plenty of surfaces for luggage/backpacks, and the rooms even had their own WiFi routers! The bathroom was clean, and the shower had good water pressure. Breakfast was delicious and filling, and the beautiful garden in front had lovely seating which we would have utilized more if not for the poor air quality at the time we visited. The location was ideal, being about .5 km from the main drag on a quieter side street. There’s also a yummy momo restaurant right next door. Perhaps the only funny thing is the locks on the door—they are actual padlocks. Easy enough to lock when you leave, but slightly disconcerting when you consider you could possibly be locked inside your room by a prankster outside. Luckily there is also a balcony to “escape” onto if needed. Other than that, I felt like it was my home away from home and was just sad I couldn’t stay longer!

This hotel is a brilliant choice for your stay in Pokhara. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. The location is fantastic and the breakfast is delicious and varies each morning. What makes this place special is the garden, it has to be one of the most relaxing places we spent time in during Nepal. The plants and garden are very well maintained and it's a slice of paradise. So nice to read a book, relax and enjoy a cup of tea. The staff are also a credit to the hotel. They couldn't do enough for us, they stored a bag for us during our trek even though we didn't book it through them. They also arranged laundry which was a great price, came back on time and was done really well. Thanks for a great stay and don't look any further for your hotel, its incredible value for money.
